The Book of Mormon was originally published in 1830 in Palmyra, New York. Since then, several editions have been published. The edition provided here is the original 1830 edition as first produced by the Prophet Joseph Smith. The text has been split into chapters and verses corresponding to the chapters and verses in the current LDS edition. The original 1830 chapters are in italics.
